Leadership

Steve Shea, President and CEO, founded STS Research Group in 1989 with the same focus it has today: to provide custom, individualized client research in Airports, Aviation, Defense, Homeland Security, Space, and Transportation markets.

shakehandsSteve is one of several project managers on more complicated assignments, backed by a support team of 12 research analysts with specialized knowledge in certain markets, products, and services.

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in market research, strategy, sales management, and new business development in aerospace and defense-related products and services. He has served active military duty with the United States Army, and is a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves (Infantry, Medical Corp), and Naval Air Reserves.

He is a graduate of Fordham University School of Economics in New York City. He is a former pilot, member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Association of the United States Army, Navy League, Air Force Association, National Business Aviation Association, and other leading organizations in Airports, Aviation, Defense, Homeland Security, Space, and Transportation industries.

Steve is a frequent speaker at major industry events and is often quoted in leading trade publications. Steve is also former Chairman Massachusetts Intelligent Transportation Systems chapter task force on emerging technologies.
